Find the right French class for you !
The descriptions below for each level are for ’’communicative competence’.’ In other words, how well you are able to understand and be understood by others. I'm using the recognized standard of the defined six levels of proficiency called Common European Framework of Reference for Languages which is recognized all over the world as well as the United States.

LEVEL 1: BEGINNER LEVEL
A0 (Introduction to French)) Complete beginner
This class is for you ….
- if you are a complete beginner who have had no prior exposure to French or other
foreign languages.
- if you have no idea how to pronounce French words.
- if you want to give French classes a try, but you’re not ready to commit to a longer course .

In this class, you will…..
- Learn some simple vocab like colors and numbers as well as basic phrases and some cultural
insights, maybe to prep for a trip to France or French speaking country.

A1.1 Beginner

This class is for you ….
- if you had previous experience learning French. Maybe you just took our Introduction to French
course…..or you took high school French
- if you know how to introduce yourself, can build a simple sentence in French, ask basic questions and if you can hold very basic ''first encounter'' conversations with an interlocutor speaking very
clearly and slowly, without using any slang or colloquial expression..

In this class, you will…..
Learn how to master French pronunciation, introduce yourself and others, give personal details like
nationality, profession, hobbies, family, likes and dislikes, buy something in a store, describe people
and things, order food in a restaurant, ask questions using present tense and near future.
At the end of this course you will be able to interact basically in French!

A1.2 Mid Beginner
In this class, you will…..
Learn how to describe more in detail families, people, personalities.
We will focus on describing your routine, daily activities, schedule, plans, using reflexive verbs. We will practice taking appointments, booking trips and hotel rooms. In grammar, we will study irregular verbs,demonstrative and possessive adjectives.
We will explore cultural aspects of French civilization and art de vivre.

A2 Advanced Beginner
In this level, you’re able to go deeper into the ‘’first meeting’’conversations. You have the tools to say more about your background, albeit still in very simple terms. You also can explain what you did yesterday or last year, using the right tense.

LEVEL 2 : INTERMEDIATE
B1 Low Intermediate
This is the minimum level that travelers and tourists would want to reach in order to competently navigate a foreign country. You are now able to communicate with native speakers about your thoughts, opinions and plans. You may still not understand every word but the native speaker listening to you will get the gist of what you are talking about.
You have an extended vocabulary and you are starting to master the spectrum of Spanish tenses.
B2 - High Intermediate
At this stage, there is some degree of spontaneity in your communication
You are quite confident using all major tenses. You have the necessary vocabulary and grammar to talk about a variety of topics, but you still make some mistakes.

LEVEL 3 : ADVANCED (proficient)
C1 - Low Advanced
At this point, you mostly need conversation practice and to polish up your already extensive grammar skills. Your Spanish is solid, you want to keep expanding your vocabulary.
C2 - High Advanced
You are already able to say and express whatever you desire. For example, you can discuss complex topics of conversation. In this class you will you will improve and perfect your communication skills.
